EXPERIMENT ALERT
Before you read anymore, we ask you to do a little experiment.
- Pull out a sheet a paper and pen.
- Write down 10 names of leaders or people you admire. (They can be famous or someone you know.)
- Describe each person with one word and write it next to the name.
- Review your names and place each descriptive word in one of the columns below.
Attitude | Knowledge | Skill |
Where did your words end up? When we conduct this brief experiment with groups, the majority of the words used to describe a leader are placed in the Attitude column.
Attitude is at the core of leadership supported by consistent behaviors. Combined, they produce positive results. We took this model and created The Leadership Formula, a developed interactive training program that provides framework for everyday leadership. Conducted for teams or individuals, we focus on the following:
- Proactive vs Reactive
- Positive Language vs Negative Language
- Embedded Messages
- Opportunity vs Problem
- BE Statements
- Building Exceptional Teams
